Hello all...not that there are many of you....YET!!!
This is the first OFFICIAL post on the PETTIT Group blog. It's taken a while, but we have a good excuse. You see, we aren't just bloggers and vloggers, we also take care of the day to day of our construction group of companies that specialise in HR, highways installation and groundworks. And so the old man says, that's not an easy feat.
You might think that civils and highways installation is just laying down some asphalt and painting some lines, but it's much more than that. It involves planning, designing, surveying, engineering, contracting, budgeting, managing, supervising, inspecting, testing, maintaining and if my first week in the office is to go by....moaning. It seems like a lot of work, and it takes a lot of time.
So, up until now, you can imagine how hard it has been for the old firm to find time to write a blog post or record a video when they have to deal with all these aspects of the group of businesses. Sometimes I bet they wish they could just delegate everything to someone else and focus on the passion of finishing construction projects for their clients.....oh they did!
I will now be taking charge of all things social media, pulling together relevant content to share our senior management's opinions on the latest trends in Small Business, Construction, Groundworks, HR and Surveying, associated with our professional group of companies.
Whilst I study for my A-levels, I will be the member of staff that co-ordinates our Facebook, Youtube, Twitter (even though its rubbish) Insta, and Tik-Tok- (ask your kids what this is).... showing these dinosaurs how to use social media...it will be my job to extract their knowledge, create blog and vlog content, sprinkle a little AI fairy dust and post to our website and social media channels! I have some great ideas for future posts and videos that we will share soon. I just need to find some time to work on them around Summer Holiday Beach days!
In the meantime, please keep following us on our social media accounts and leave us some comments and feedback. We'd love to hear from you and knowing that you support us.
Thank you for your patience. Stay tuned for more updates soon. Until then, stay safe and happy.
